Sunup to Sundown Paintout on Kit Carson

I have been gearing up for our paint out on Kit Carson Road, taking place on July 29, from sunup to sundown and trying to prepare myself mentally and physically for the event. Trying to paint one painting per hour on Kit Carson, will be exhausting and maybe rather frantic, so have been plotting out a course to take to keep me from running around in circles. But, after plotting my course on a mini map that I made, I will be umm, running around in circles....

I had already painted this scene a year or so ago on a cloudy day - but will be giving it another try.. I love Taos mountain behind the adobe buildings.

This is the map I made to be able to stay on track- hopefully I will be able to finish the paintings in less than one hour so that I can get cleaned up and to my next location - please ignore the misspellings - looks like I will be painting at the Couse museum, Kit Carson museum, outside of Total Arts, Casa Benavides Inn, Caffe Tazo, next to Wilder Nightingale and the Cabot building. I know it looks like it will be totally exhausting but  I am pretty excited and so as long as I stay hydrated through the day, I'm hoping to get some great paintings.

If you are in Taos on the 29th, come by while we are painting, or come to the show all day on July 30th and stop and take a look at all of the paintings by Coni Grant, Peggy Immel, and me, Susan McCullough.
