Representing the West show
In Between Storms/ 16x20/ Oil
Tomorrow I will be driving to Sangre de Cristo Art Museum in Pueblo to deliver artwork and then to Colorado Springs to meet George to pick up my work since my gallery in Denver, Elements 5280, is closing it's doors. I loved that gallery and the owners, so was very sad to find out the news. I guess I will be looking for another gallery in Denver...
It is hard to stay motivated in the winter to paint- especially at sub-zero temps.. I have been trying to paint Lake Havasu paintings in the studio but the colors of the sunset on the Mojaves is hard to get right the first time so it looks like I will be glazing my work to tone down some color issues.
More about the show- Last year I was in the exhibition but wasn't able to make it to the show- I will really try to attend this year- this show has been ongoing for many years- I am excited to be a part of it again this year.
February 5, 2016: Opening reception 4:30 - 7 p.m
May 15, 2016: Last day of exhibition
Both paintings on this blog will be in the show- I've heard that it is a fantastic show so try to get out and see it!
